A RESPONSIBILITY WE LIVE

Begin close.
Carry care outward.

The Tent is broader than a place. It is responsibility for our lifestyle, choices, relationships, and those within our sphere. Care takes shape in meals, attention, honest agreements, and dependable follow-through.

At home, leadership means cultivating an environment where people are nourished, heard, and able to become their best selves. Beyond home, it means responding thoughtfully to neighbors and community.

PRACTICES FOR EVERYDAY LIFE

Make care
part of the rhythm.

01

Share a meal.

Set aside a meal for presence. Ask each person about a joy, a difficulty, or something they need. Let listening come before advice.

02

Name responsibilities.

Agree on household tasks according to age and capacity. Make the agreement clear, revisit it, and notice the work others carry.

03

Make father–child time.

Cook, walk, build, read, or practice a skill together. Give each child time for their own questions and interests.

04

Check in as a family.

Ask: What went well? What needs attention? Who needs support? Choose one small adjustment for the coming week.

05

Protect rest.

Create room for Shabbat or your household’s faith-informed rhythm of rest. Set business and disputes aside to reconnect with people.

06

Extend hospitality.

Offer what you can sustain. Ask before helping, respect privacy, and follow through on what you agree to do.

A question to carry home.

Who within my sphere needs my presence—and what responsibility can I faithfully carry today?

These are voluntary community practices. The Tent does not currently operate a housing, clinical, or emergency service. Formal educational programs and training are provided through ARKTIK Education. Free community language and faith studies remain available through The Assembly.
