PRACTICE 01

Choose and name an edition

Open the Sefer Yetzirah collection. Choose a version and record its title, language, and translation information. Read its opening unit. Separate the source text from any accompanying commentary.

PRACTICE 02

Read a symbol in context

Choose one image, number, or repeated term in the opening unit. Record where it occurs and what surrounds it. Compare an available commentary while keeping its explanation separate from your own.

PRACTICE 03

Keep traditions in view

Explore the Zohar contents. Identify a short passage for a future reading and record the edition you intend to use. What background or guidance would help you understand it?

Bring it to the Table.

Close with one observation, one interpretation, and one question still open. Let each participant name their own tradition and convictions; agreement is not a condition of hospitality.

These self-guided resources are free and remain within The Assembly. Assembly notes are AI-assisted editorial material, not a claim of specialist or rabbinic review.
